February was cold initially, with 8cm snowfall on 4th which took 2 days to thaw. The coldest night was -7.3C on 4th, the 11th coldest in 57 years.
The latter part of the month was mild, reaching 17.2C on 23rd, a new record for February, followed by a very mild night only falling to 9.1C, the 7th mildest night on record.
Nine days exceeded 10C, from 21st onwards.  Rainfall only 26.8mm, just 57.3% of normal, the 14th lowest on record for this month.
Overall the cold start balanced out the very mild end for the month, so the temperature anomaly appears normal.

The afternoon of 15th was gloomy with threatening skies, and thunder was heard occasionally between 1200 and 1600, and there were short sudden intense showers accompanied by hail during that afternoon. 
A most pleasant end to the month, unseasonally warm dry and sunny.

The wettest June on record here with 185.6mm (305%) rainfall, having 24.5mm on 7th, 18.5mm on 14th followed by 24.3mm on 15th. 
On 28th, remarkably gloomy skies delivered 21mm of sudden torrential rain between 1000 and 1030, accompanied by thunder and lightning and causing flash flooding on some roads. 
To confirm how dark it was at 1030, solar radiation was logged at just 
7W/m2, lower than it was at 0530 that morning and 2130 that evening.
Temperatures were slightly below normal, generally rising during the month, the himax being 2.2C below normal, the 11th lowest in 57 years. 
Mean pressure was the lowest on record for June at 1008.8mb, as was the min pressure. One effect of the very wet month was that local allotment growers used only 9% of 
the normal amount of monthly mains water for their crops. 
A very disappointing month.

Most of July was wet and cool, except 21st-29th which were much brighter, warmer and dry, the overall mean temperature being 1 degree below normal. 
Another very wet month with 189% normal rainfall, the 7th wettest July in 57 years. 
There was 29.7mm daily rainfall on 6th when rain fell steadily all day, making it 
the 10th wettest July day on record here. 
The monthly mean pressure was the 9th lowest, so that 5 of the last 6 consecutive 
years have seen mean pressures amongst the 9 lowest for July in 57 years (2010 did not). 
So plenty of gloom to report, but thankfully a little bit of summer too.

Summer Season (June July and August):
3 month cumulative rainfall 389mm is 2nd highest in 57 years, just 4mm less than in 2007. There have been 63 raindays, 50 wetdays and 26 verywetdays (all of these are the highest recorded here). 
Mean temperature 15.5C, which is normal, although temperatures have had a lower range than usual over the season. Highest Max temperature 28.1C and mean max only 19.6C, both lower than usual. Lowest Min temperature 5.2C and mean min 11.5C, both higher than usual.

Overall a slightly cooler than usual and wet month. However it was very warm and pleasant until 9th, then fairly warm until 19th. Coldest night 22nd was only 2.3C but no ground frost was apparent.
Very heavy rainfall on 23rd produced 42.4mm (the 4th highest for any September day, and 14th highest daily rainfall overall in 57 years here). The total rainfall from 23rd to 25th was 79.4mm, and the month's total 101.9mm. 
Cumulative rainfall Jan-Sep now totals 795.1mm, again the highest on record, just ahead of 793.6mm for the same period in 2007.
