The 30 year (1971-2000) annual mean temperature here is 10.1, and for the last 50 years has been 9.5.

Jan, Feb, Mar were cooler than last year, but all the other months were warmer, with May, June, July and Sept giving the highest monthly mean temperature recorded here in the last 50 years.

Notably July's mean this year was 5.0 degrees higher than the 50 year average July temperature, with 19th July providing a 50 year July record maximum of 34.9, the following night  not surprisingly giving the 2nd highest minimum for July (beaten by 1.0 degree in 1975).

Rainfall at 681mm was 87% of the 30 year average, and 92% of the 50 year average.
Interestingly May was the wettest since 1983, but June the driest since 1983 also.
The hottest month, July, was the driest only since 1999.

Settled start and end to the month but changeable middle. 
An unusually dry January (27%) like last year (24%), the previous dry January being 1997. 
Temperatures slightly above normal. Light snowfall on 7th, but otherwise uneventful with no extremes.

A drier than normal month, the only useful rain falling on 11,14,23.

Very warm, sunny month, highest temp recorded 34.9 on 19th (beating July 1990 when 34.7 was recorded in Halesowen). 
A very dry July (only beaten in 1999, so second driest July in 50 years here), the only significant rain falling 30th-31st. 

August was a cloudy and damp month with normal temperatures and rainfall over the month. Most rain fell between 17-20, 23, 25-31, 
with 16mm on 17th and 12mm on 23rd. Mildest at the start of the month but cooler later.

A pleasantly mild month, with the highest September mean
temperature of at least 50 years records I hold. Warmest days were 10-12, and sunniest days 7-11, 21 and 26.  Rainfall was normal, the wettest September in the last 6 years, most falling at the start of the month, and on 13 and 22.

Unusually mild month, October mean temperature 12.8C only equals 1969 in the last 50 years records here. 
Daily max temp exceeded 30-year average on all but 3 days.
Rainfall 127% of 30-year average, but was the 3rd lowest and had fewest raindays of the last 9 years.
Most rain fell 1st, 11th, 22nd, 25th. 
Mostly cloudy days, with some good bright and sunny spells, so felt very pleasant for the time of year.
